DataFromSky in Nvidia ebook

DataFromSky, a proud NVIDIA AI Metropolis program partner, has been featured in the new AI for smart spaces ebook with its smart parking solution from Køge Nord Station in Denmark.

Cities face many challenges and parking is one of the more significant ones. One way of dealing with insufficient parking space in cities is to encourage more people to come to the city by public transport which however also requires specific infrastructure in place.

To improve public transportation accessibility to Copenhagen a large parking lot was built next to Køge Nord Station for which DataFromSky has provided ParkingDetection, a smart parking management system with features such as individual parking space occupancy detection, mobile parking fee payments, or navigation to free parking spaces. The solution was created in cooperation with COWI our partner for Nordic countries. The system provided great value also thanks to a variety of features but also thanks to each of the monitoring cameras covering up to 400 parking spaces.

Harness the power of real-time traffic analytics

🚀🚦Futuristic technologies for precise traffic control are here now. FLOW AI video analytics gives you all the data smart traffic intersections might need. Number of cars from each direction, their category, which lane they are in, how long they have waited for, presence of blocking vehicles in the intersection, and more. All this data can help adjust the traffic light cycles to perfectly match the current traffic situation.

🚗 ❗️Other ways you can utilize real-time insights for traffic control include wrong-way driving alerts or pedestrian presence alerts that can help to increase safety and prevent accidents. Also if you detect traffic congestion you can automatically create an alert on a notice board to warn the drivers and divert the traffic.

Next generation of traffic congestion detection

The city of Ulm, Germany, was struggling with the frequent formation of traffic congestions on one of the city’s arterials. It wanted to know the circumstances under which the column forms as well as its length.
