🎥 FLOW devices can offer a comprehensive range of traffic statistics in user-defined time intervals including classified counts, average speeds, gap times, level of service data, and much more. Real-time traffic engine FLOW ensures immediate reaction such as adaptive control based using data from live OD matrices. FLOW allows you to utilize both the power of real-time data as well as valuable long-term data that is backed up regularly and all in a GDPR compliant way. FLOW also runs on the TrafficCamera and TrafficEmbedded EDGE devices with convenient local processing. Embedded analytics can support up to 6 mid-range detection cameras. For #smartcities there is the TrafficEnterprise with centralized server processing which can be easily integrated with the existing camera infrastructure.

📰 We have been featured in the May issue of IHE Technical News with the story about traffic jam detection in Ulm (DE). It is a very good example of how AI video analysis can help to gather valuable data that can improve traffic. Our unique traffic analysis framework FLOW is used for the detection and tracking of vehicles in the 400-meter long road segment monitored by multiple cameras. This approach is a much more cost-effective but also non-intrusive alternative compared to the previously suggested method of using induction loops. The traffic data is gathered in FLOW and then sent in required intervals to the smart city platform where it is aggregated and visualized on a virtual twin of the road.
🙌 This project was done in cooperation with our partners CROSS Zlín, a.s. and Incinity responsible for installation and smart city platform system respectively. One of our partners in Macedonia, the Faculty of Technical Sciences, St. Kliment Ohridski University – Bitola recently utilized DataFromSky traffic analysis services for their research on traffic safety and traffic behaviour during covid-19 and organised a student conference to present and discuss the results. 🚗

🔎 🚗 Technische Universität Dresden – EFRE project “SePIA” is helping to make automated driving safer thanks to the DataFromSky Academy program. 140 hours of drone video material from a total of six intersections were analyzed in this project that developed a scenario-based platform for inspecting automated driving function. The exact trajectories of each vehicle were automatically extracted from the drone videos with the TrafficSurvey service and used as ground truth data for the project.📏 🚗
